Nothing wrong with self care. Take a rest day so you can come back stronger the next day. Whether that's for training, family time, work, etc. It's important so that you can rebuild those muscle fibers. No use in having your body be in a constant state of stress. What does that look like? Well, for some people it means to take a day off entirely and just rest. No going out, no chores, no nothing. For others, it could mean lifting lighter, taking a walk, activities with family. The recovery process is different for everyone. Just make sure to give yourself permission to lighten the load every once in a while. Your body will thank you for it later.
