Some people dread getting into their 30s. Let's be honest. You're not getting any younger, but you still gotta live your life the best you can, and try to keep it fun at the same time, right? Well, if you're gonna be 30 soon, or you are 30, you may or may not be in that 30/30 category. Age 30 or over with 30% or more body fat percentage. This is not where you want to be. That 30% or higher puts you at risk for heart attack, stroke, heart disease, fatty liver, and a plethora of other issues. How can you track this category, and how can you get out of it if you're in it? Talk to your doctor. They usually measure BMI though not body fat percentage. So you just have to ask to get a specific scan done. You can also get what's called a DEXA scan which is usually done to measure a persons bone density, but in most cases can be used to measure body fat and muscle mass as well. In all, resistance training is the BEST way to find results in your training. In my opinion, everyone should include some type of resistance training in their routine. Exercises is not a one size fits all, but everyone should exercise. Let's save that for a later post.
